THE ONE MINUTE IN MAY TRAILER *NEW*
The One Minute in May campaign will be kicked off with the production of a documentary. This programme is not only being made only for broadcast on terrestrial TV but also for distribution to schools as well.
The Documentary will be a fly-on-the-wall record of a journey taken by families that have lost loved ones to youth violence. We will follow a mother, a father, a sister and a brother – each from different families from all over England – as they embark on their quests to enlist the agreement of Premier and Championship league football clubs to participate in a one-minute event in honor of those who have died as a result of violent youth crime.
Each of the four individuals the film follows will visit three clubs to reach a total of 12 scattered around the country in their drive to make One Minute in May a reality.
Running alongside the families’ quest will be two other stories. The first will be from the perspective of a young man who feels that he has to carry a knife to be safe on the streets. We hope to change his views on carrying knives by showing him good practice and other way of getting through his daily routine without the need for carrying a weapon.
The second story will be from the perspective of a teacher who has been trying to get more health-and-safety lessons in classes. These lessons will give young children a better understanding of the dangers of violent youth crime.
